Transfer applicants must submit a recommendation from a college/ university instructor or your college academic advisor with the USC application (and a Statement of Intent, if applying to Journalism or Public Relations). Letters from high school teachers or counselors will not be accepted. Letters of recommendation can be submitted using the Instructor Evaluation form found in the Common Application.

Transfer applicants should have made progress in college coursework toward satisfying the USC General Education categories and other Core requirements. Please refer to the Transferring to USC booklet for details. For additional information, please refer to the Transfer Application Guidelines at annenberg.usc.edu.

Transfer applicants to Communication are encouraged to complete a college course in statistics.
