See Additional Major Requirements for information about your intended program.
Scholarship Status and Final Admission Decisions
All first-year applicants who submit a complete application (Common Application and USC Writing Supplement) by the December 1 deadline will be considered for USC Merit Scholarships and will receive notification of their status in February. Applicants who are not selected to receive or interview for scholarships will still be considered for regular admission. All first-year applicants who submit a complete application (Common Application and USC Writing Supplement) by the January deadline will be mailed an admission decision by April 1. USC does not have an Early Decision or Early Action program. Only notification from the Office of Admission constitutes an offer of admission.
Interested in Financial Aid?
If so, you should apply for financial aid soon after you apply for admission. USC is need-blind in its admission process — a student’s financial need is not a factor in the admission decision.
*It is your responsibility to ensure that all required application materials are sent to USC by the posted deadlines. Applications submitted after the deadlines listed above are not guaranteed a priority review. In no case will application fees be refunded.
