Transportation
Although LA is famous for its “car culture,” and USC students are welcome to bring cars to campus, most students will find they don’t need one. University-operated shuttles provide daily service around the University Park Campus, as well as easy access to the university’s Health Sciences Campus for pre-health students. Students who live off-campus in the North University Park area will find that the main campus is a short walk or bike ride away. And USC fosters an active “bike culture,” with plenty of bike lanes and bike storage areas.
Getting Around Los Angeles
USC partners with several Los Angeles companies and services to help students navigate the city. The city’s DASH buses and the new Expo rail line provide easy, affordable access to Downtown LA and the LA Live entertainment complex, as well as to Pasadena, Hollywood and Culver City.
The innovative Zipcar program, university ride-sharing and matching services, and the Enterprise rental car office can help you get where you need to go, inexpensively and in a hurry.
