Keep track of the important dates and deadlines listed below.
October 1, 2022
Begin the financial aid application process by completing the 2023-2024 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). All students, regardless of age, who wish to be considered for Loans for Disadvantaged Students and Primary Care Loans, must complete all student, parent, and spouse information sections.
April 3, 2023
To be considered for all forms of financial aid you must complete the following:
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Application online.
Keep in mind:
Use your best estimate of 2021 student income.
USC’s Federal School Code is 001328.
Apply as early as October 1 but before the April 3, 2023 deadline.
Financial Aid Supplement
Follow the instructions provided on your Financial Aid Summary and Tasks (FAST) page to complete and submit the online.
Reply Promptly
Respond to any requests for additional information within 10 days.
July 1, 2023
Apply for any loans you wish to borrow:
First-time Federal Direct or Grad PLUS borrowers must complete a Master Promissory Note online at studentaid.gov.
First-time Federal Direct Loan borrowers must complete entrance loan counseling online at usc.igrad.com.
